Would you like to be a Dancefest volunteer?

Dancefest has many and varied opportunities to volunteer, from being a member of the Dancefest Board, to helping our dance teachers with classes, stewarding, chaperoning, working on costumes and delivering publicity materials.

We want volunteering to be an enjoyable experience that provides the opportunity to learn new skills and meet new people. It’s an important role that contributes to the experience of our participants, and our volunteers are much valued.

We safeguard children, young people and vulnerable adults by:
  • adopting safeguarding guidelines through procedures and a code of conduct for staff and volunteers
  • recruiting staff and volunteers safely, ensuring all necessary checks are made

Volunteer Handbook by People Dancing

Please read this really useful handbook created by People Dancing, on what you may expect as a volunteer supporting community or participatory dance.

Dancefest's Volunteering Policy

Please read our volunteer policy, which sets out the principles and practice by which we involve volunteers.
