Dance Development Team Leader (Young People)

Clare has worked for Dancefest for 14 years devising and delivering dance projects and teaching regular classes.

In her various roles at Dancefest Clare has led work for all ages and abilities including GCSE Dance, GP referred adults, Parents and Wobblers, visually impaired and learning disabled participants.

Clare began working in dance development as Worcestershire Dance Worker and also worked as Youth Dance Coordinator at Dancefest for Youth Dance England. Clare manages projects, performances and residencies in education and community settings.

Clare has also worked as Dance Styles and Techniques module leader at University of Worcester and as Dance Worker in Residence for Malvern Theatres.

Clare enjoys choreography and performing and is a founder member of Angel Dance Co Lab, whose performances include the dance film Infirmary, Dreams and Ruin at Witley Court and Nurture, a performance that marked the transition of Worcester Royal Hospital to becoming part of the University of Worcester.  

Clare is part of DFA ( Dancefest Adults) who regularly perform in outdoor and unusual spaces. She has choreographed several pieces for the group including Passeggiata and Mistletoe Maidens.
