Johnny Autin

International Dance Artist & Choreographer

Johnny is an established International Dance Artist & Choreographer based in Birmingham (UK). He is Associate Artist at Midlands Arts Centre - MAC and working internationally as a performer and choreographer. As a dance maker, he has been commissioned by several arts organisations to create work and engage with young dancers and professional performers, including an artistic commission by Dance Hub Birmingham, by MUDA Africa and IBUKA Dance in East Africa and several full-length choreography commissions for The Arden School of Acting in Manchester, and more recently in Opera choreographing ‘Carmen’ in Macerata, Italy. He has worked internationally collaborating with choreographers and companies throughout Europe, as well as touring work worldwide. 

As a workshop leader and educator, he has over 15 years of experience with school projects & delivery of dance & movement workshops with educational bodies, dance agencies & centres for advanced training across the globe. Johnny is the Creative Director of Autin Dance Theatre and the Artistic Director of Man Made Youth Company, currently undertaking a post-graduate course at the University of Wolverhampton.
