Lauren Jones

Lauren Jones is a freelance dancer, dance teacher and Dance Movement Psychotherapist.

She has been working for Dancefest for nearly six years teaching children, adults and integrated groups. Her passion for making dance accessible for everyone was strengthened whilst beginning work with the Jigsaw Performance Group, an integrated dance group for disabled and non-disabled dancers. This led her to train for a further four years to complete a Masters Degree in Dance Movement Psychotherapy.

Having completed her training, she now works as a freelance Dance Movement Psychotherapist and Dance worker, delivering sessions for children and adults for Dancefest, The Courtyard Theatre, the NHS and local schools in and around Herefordshire.

It is her ambition to continue using dance and movement as a means for people to express and release, to relax, keep fit and have fun and to improve recovery, confidence and social skills.
