Enid Gill

Enid has worked within contemporary dance for over 25 years, originally training at London Contemporary Dance School then dancing for inspirational choreographers including Jane Dudley, Janet Smith and Angela Woodhouse in England, and Alexander Baervoets, Nadine Ganase and Claudio Bernardo in Belgium.

She has taught extensively at all levels of contemporary and creative dance, from beginners to professional companies, and performed her own work in Quebec, Canada. In the last few years, Enid has been back at The Place in London as co-programme manager of the Centre for Advanced Training in Dance. A prevocational, non-residential contemporary dance training for gifted young people aged 11-18yrs.

Enid is an Instructor of ‘L’Art du Chi’, Stevanovitch method of Tai Chi Chuan and, along with her years of Iyengar Yoga practice and Dance Movement Psychotherapy Masters, she brings multiple perspectives to movement and working with the body.

Having moved to Herefordshire recently, Enid is excited to be working with Dancefest, offering her experience and knowledge as a dance artist and somatic practitioner.
