Workshops
We run regular workshops and projects for a wide range of people of all ages, often led by guest artists or visiting dance companies. Each year there are opportunities for both experienced dancers and people who have never danced before to get involved in one-off workshops, performance projects and to watch dance in a theatre or unusual space somewhere in Herefordshire or Worcestershire.

Youth Dance
We have lots of classes for young people, we audition each year for our youth dance companies and regularly involve young dancers and choreographers in projects and performances. We also aim to provide information and support for dancers to learn, develop and perform, whether dancing fun or looking to make a career in dance.

Arts Award
Dancefest is an Arts Award supporter. Young people can use our classes, workshops and performances to help them gain an Arts Award.

Projects

Projects

We aim to give as many people as possible the chance to take part in and watch dance throughout Herefordshire and Worcestershire.

We often perform in unusual and outdoor places as well as theatre and arts venues and we create and manage a whole range of projects, sometimes on our own, sometimes in collaboration with other arts organisations, local authorities and schools.

We work in residential homes, community centres, schools, universities and community and arts venues and our work ranges from from one-off lessons with schools to longer term projects and mid-scale site-specific performances. more...

Performances

Dance performances in the West Midlands

Local theatre and arts venues in the region let us know which dance companies they have performing each season and we collect these into a diary. Look out for regular special ticket offers.

Big Dance Week
Dancefest became a Big Dance Hub for the first time in 2014. We had such a great time creating performances and events for all ages across the West Midlands that we thought we'd bring the spirit of Big Dance to our summer once more, and use it as the inspiration for all of our summer performances.

Our summer term started on 13 April and there's still time to book on to a class.

You can browse or download our new Summer 2015 brochure below or get in touch if you'd like us to post you one.
