Dancefest runs classes and workshops for all ages, for both experienced dancers and people who have never danced before, across Herefordshire and Worcestershire. They include Contemporary, Choreography, Street, Breakdance, Mini Movers and Youth Dance.

We offer extensive education work in schools and colleges, and provide performance and participation opportunitiesand information for young dancers and choreographers.

We've recently started to coordinate Worcestershire Dance Teachers, to provide networking, support and CPD opportunities for teachers, dance workers and students working with all Key Stages and in Higher Education.

If you already take part in our classes we'd love to know what you think. You can complete a survey here that will help us plan for the future.

Projects

Dancefest delivers numerous projects from short to long term. These vary in size and scale, from one off workshops to site specific performances.

In the summer term we'll be launching a new performance group, DFA,  for experienced dancers with a sense of adventure, and their first project is Passeggiata, an outdoor performance which will pop up on 27 July and 10 August.

Performance

Dancefest produces and helps to promote dance performances throughout the region, providing participants with many opportunities to perform.

Dancefest leads Worcestershire Dance Promoters, which brings together the county’s venues who programme professional dance from all over the UK and overseas.

In March 2012 Dancefest produced 12 Moves, a Dancing for the Games project, part of the Cultural Olympiad in the West Midlands, and we are now planning our next large scale project for 2015.
