Dancefest is the dance development organisation for Herefordshire and Worcestershire, and runs a vibrant year round programme that includes classes, projects and performances.
Classes for all ages and abilities takes place in venues in the two counties. Participants get the opportunity to perform both informally and in the annual showcase.
Dancefest leads many projects each year. These vary in size and scale, from one off workshops to site specific performances. Work is undertaken for schools, within the curriculum and after school, and community groups, including organisations working with the elderly, different abilities and youth clubs.
Dancefest also designs and manages its own projects, which include Jigsaw, an annual integrated performance project, dance films and site specific work.
Dancefest leads Worcestershire Dance Promoters which brings together the county’s venues to work on audience development, programming and participation.
